Home Page English Electives Fine Arts Math Physical Education Science Social Studies World Languages	English Language arts instruction at Eastern Technical High School follows all grade-level curricular programs offered at high schools in Baltimore County Public Schools. A full complement of College-Tech Prep, Honors, and Gifted and Talented and Advanced Placement English courses are available to meet the needs of students. The English Department is also proud of the following programs and activities which supplement the regular curriculum: · Theater arts electives and an active drama club which offers two full productions yearly · A technical writing elective offered in many Career Majors · A journalism elective responsible for the school newspaper, The Maverick Express · A yearbook elective charged with recording each year’s accomplishments in every area of school life – The Maverick · A highly acclaimed literary magazine, Images · A semi-annual Literary Coffee House open to anyone in the Eastern Tech family · A tuition-free Summer Writers’ Workshop (by application) · The annual Cross-Cultural, Cross-Generational Reading Seminar · SAT preparatory classes The English Department at Eastern Tech is proud of its students’ accomplishments. During the senior year, skills that the students have mastered over four years are displayed in two culminating, exit projects: the Senior Independent Project and the presentation of the Senior Portfolio. In English language arts instruction, Eastern and Excellence are synonymous.
