Class of 1976: Cecil C. Jones III, - Electronics and Drafting. 30 years, but who's counting ? Remember; You don't stop playing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop playing ! While at EVT, I was on the Wrestling team and Lacrosse team, both coached by Joe Gast. After high school, Fall of 76 and
Spring of 77, I attended Essex Community College. Then, I needed money, so I had to go to work. My high school education at EVT opened doors of job opportunities for me and my working future. Since 1978, I've worked for Westinghouse, and Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems, (BWI) MD. I have worked on many ground based and airborne radar systems, and major electronic warfare and military defense projects over the last 28 years in Engineering Design and Drafting. During that time I returned to CCBC
Essex at night and finished an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Aided Design & Drafting, (CADD) Technology.
I've been married since1983. My wife Debbie and I have two children, daughter Ashley 19, and proud to say an ET (Business) graduate. Ashley is a Business major, attending Eastern University in PA. My son Corey 15, and proud to say is a sophomore at ET. Corey also plays football for ET. As a family we enjoy family gatherings at our home, the beach, snow skiing, Orioles and Ravens games, and especially ET football games. I still live in Essex and I spend allot of time as a "bleacher creature" watching ET football games. GO TECH ! To anyone that may read this, as a fellow athletic booster, I agree with Rick Smith, Class of '77 EVT, please get involved !
The school is in dire need of a stadium and renovations to the grounds. This institution continues to put out the best academic students in the area, and still ranks high in almost every sports team they field. They deserve to have the best facilities we can give them. If enough alumni get involved this will be an easy task. Good Luck in the future to all my fellow graduates and future ET graduates! Cecil C. Jones - cecil.jones@ngc.com

Hi, I was Kathleen Frazee. I graduated in 77 and my prime was nursing. After school I went into the Army and served in Aschaffenburg Germany until Dec. of 80 as a medic and moved to Texas. I am an artist and work for an Insurance Agency. I have a wonderful husband Michael Beaver of 11 years and two daughters Summer 21 and married, living in Houston. My second daughter Kelsey is almost 16. I have a step daughter, Page, 31, who has a doctorate in Psychology. Her husband Todd has a masonry business and they have two wonderful little boys Logan and Brendon. I also have a 12 year old step son Brandon. We are in the process of clearing 18 acres for our new house. Hurricane Rita slowed us down quite a bit. We actually evacuated back to Baltimore during the storm. I am looking forward to talking to some other classmates. I can be reached at katydid19952000@yahoo.com or katiebeaver@sbcglobal.net Posted 9/11/06
Greetings Class of 76’ers. It’s great to see all the postings here from my fellow classmates and I’m looking forward to our reunion in September. I enjoyed EVT while I was there and miss the camaraderie. Drafting was my major and I did that for 25 years before getting my Mechanical Eng’g degree from Hopkins and my MBA from Loyola. It was tough going back to school after such a long time. I’ve been married three times (three really is the charm) and have two kids, Matthew, 24 and Cara 21. They both went to EVT and Cara just graduated from Salisbury U. I’m married to Jeanie who I met dancing and we live in Owings Mills/Garrison Forest area. We have a great life together, enjoy traveling, going out with friends and ballroom dancing. In regards to the reunion, you can call me at home at 410-998-1166 or e-mail me at salsad8@comcast.net.

Hello! My name is Cindy (Crawford) Baumgartner, '76. It was so good to find this message board and read over the entire posts of the "Classes Before 1980".
What fond memories I have of my 3 years at Eastern. I was in the Practical Nursing program, Class of '76. I have worked in my "prime" ever since and am currently working as a school nurse (for the past 12 school years). I've come to enjoy my summer vacations! I am married to Mike Baumgartner (class of '75). We have been married almost 27 years and have 3 kids: Mickey is 26, served 4 years in the USMC and is now a reservist. He has a beautiful little girl age 2 1/2. Jennifer is 23 and is a newlywed. She's the director of an afterschool daycare program and also the director of a summer camp at the same school. Jenn hopes to graduate from college next May and go into teaching. Stacey is 21, still lives at home and is in college. She attends Harford Community College with plans to transfer to a 4-year school next spring. We live in Abingdon, MD. I also am a consultant for The Longaberger Company and I love doing that and putting together bus trips to "the big basket". I enjoy going to Scottish and Irish festivals and am helping my dad research our Scottish and Irish roots. I've maintained contact with a few from my graduating class and we enjoy talking about the fun times at EVT. I can be reached at celticnurse@comcast.net.

was a great place to spend three years of my life. What and who I am today
was greatly influenced by those years and the many friends and teachers.
I am Terry Foy and graduated in 1975 in auto mechanics. Funny, I don't think
I have touched a car since. Not really, maybe a few years. I have
worked in the construction industry since 1979. 24 of those year for one
company, Potts and Callahan, Inc. in Baltimore. Roger Hewitt and I started
there the same time. In July 2001 I started my own business - Foy Safety
Consulting, Inc. (www.foysafety.com). I have three children.
Two from my first marriage, Terry Jr. is 26 and Jenifer is 24. Jennifer
has a daughter Taylor (my granddaughter). From my second marriage to my
wife Susan we were blessed to have Megan who just turned 13 a few days
ago. This year we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary. Aside
from working and owning our own businesses Susan and I are on staff at Immanuel
Baptist Church in White Marsh, Md. as lead worshippers. If you remember
the area it is the church on top of the hill behind the police station in the
middle of the cow farm. I
will never forget the days at EVT. Many great life lessons were learned
there. Blessings,
Terry Posted

Hello fellow alumni!
I wanted to add my post-EVT experiences. The education and experiences of attending
EVT have greatly aided my professional career. I am currently a software engineer
with IBM in Austin, Texas. Previously, I have worked as a computer consultant
for various government agencies and Fortune 500 companies throughout the United
States. My current expertise includes Lotus Notes/Domino architecture, development,
deployment and administration. Time has helped me understand what our Data Processing
teachers were trying to relate - and this experience helped me stay current in
an industry that is changing every day. While
I have lost touch with my fellow classmates, I find that I do look back fondly
to my time at EVT. I am married to the former Anne Slaughter ('85 Kenwood) who
works as a Customer Support Rep for Dell. We have no children. Please feel free
to contact me at glenn@bigdglenn.com
