BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND TECHNOLOGY

Business Administration & Technology (BAT) is designed to develop a student’s management, accounting/finance and technical skills using Microsoft Windows Professional XP and Virtual Business-Management 2.0 application software.  Students learn to develop a managerial and financial perspective, build rapport and gain influence, and deal with workplace challenges.  A BAT curriculum meets Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) Business Management pathway requirements.  In addition, BAT students who choose Accounting II as an elective will earn dual pathway status:  Business Management & Finance and Accounting.  Upon completion of the curriculum, students have an opportunity to compete in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) academic competitions, and earn Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) credits.  Additional topics include written and oral communication skills, decision-making and time management techniques, presentation and teamwork competence, and demonstration of a professional image.
