Senior Timeline

September
· Check in with your Guidance Counselor and review your transcript
· Register for the SATs or any other tests needed for after high school plans
· Narrow your list of colleges (make sure to include “realistic” schools)
· Request applications and teacher recommendations
· Meet with college reps that visit Eastern Tech

October
· Take the SAT and/or register for the November SAT
· Finalize college choices
· Work on applications and essays
· Attend College Fairs

November
· Take the SAT and/or register for the December SAT
· Complete Early Decision and Early Action applications
· Complete Scholarship applications

December
· Take the SAT and/or register for the January SAT
· Attend Financial Aid Night at Eastern Tech
· Mail applications

January
· Complete FAFSA and submit a.s.a.p. after January 1st
· Research scholarships further through Guidance and by contacting colleges directly

February
· Call colleges to verify receipt of your completed application
· Maintain good grades

March
· Receive college decisions
· Keep looking for scholarships

April
· Prepare for AP exams if applicable
· Review acceptances and maybe revisit colleges
· Talk with college financial aid officers to review aid packages

May
· Pay deposit at selected college
